Zero-X Technologies Announces New Investment to Accelerate Waste-to-Chemicals Expansion

Zero-X Technologies has confirmed a new investment to accelerate the commercial rollout of its waste-to-chemicals platform, marking another step forward in the company's mission to turn overlooked waste streams into clean energy and high-value chemical products.

The announcement, shared this week on LinkedIn, comes at a pivotal moment for the circular economy sector. As municipalities and industrial operators across Europe and beyond face mounting pressure to divert waste from landfills and incineration, Zero-X's modular technology offers a compelling alternative: a scalable, containerized system capable of processing difficult, high-ash feedstocks — including sewage sludge, municipal solid waste, and agricultural digestate — that conventional gasification systems struggle to handle.

This new round of capital will be directed toward expanding the company's manufacturing capacity, scaling its partner network, and accelerating deployment of validated commercial projects currently in the pipeline across Spain, Portugal, and Greece. It also reinforces Zero-X's two-engine business model, which combines direct build-own-operate project development with IP licensing to partners who bring local market access, feedstock, and regulatory expertise.

"This investment is about proving out what we've already validated in the field," the company noted in its announcement. "We've logged thousands of hours of operational data on some of the hardest feedstocks in the industry. Now it's about scaling that proof into a global partner network."

The timing is notable. New EU regulation on sewage sludge disposal is set to force thousands of wastewater treatment plants to find alternative processing routes before the end of the decade, creating a large and largely untapped market for technologies like the X-150. Combined with government co-funding programs covering a significant share of project capital costs in target markets, the addressable opportunity for waste-to-chemicals infrastructure has rarely looked stronger.

For Zero-X, the investment is as much a signal as it is a source of capital — a vote of confidence from investors in a company that has spent years quietly building and validating its technology, and is now shifting into a period of active commercial expansion.

The full announcement, including additional details on the investment and the company's circular economy strategy, is available on LinkedIn.
